I’m up for it! I am not sure when I will be open though as I have a few big commissions lined up for my winter break, but you can send me a message off-anon if you would like to be added to the waiting list!
I don’t! I should make one at some point though… It would be fun to have somewhere to spam up with work in progress shots.
Sorry for the INTENSE ABSENCE. School is all-encompassing lately, as well as personal issues. All of my time is devoted to staying caught up as well as doing commissions when I can. I apologize if I have not responded to you. :(
But anyway, here is the first piece from my four month long senior thesis. I am facing one of my biggest artistic fears (possibly a terrible idea) and doing comics. I’ve done illustrations for The Three Little Pigs before but now I want to make it even scarier, grosser, and possibly gorier. I don’t want to spoil too much yet though so HERE IS THE POSTER I MADE FOR IT.
Done with Prismacolor brush markers and Prismacolor pencils on 13x16.25 Canson multimedia paper. A little bit of photoshop as well, just to fuss with colors and highlights.
I forgot I had this doodle of Leeroy in my scraps; SO HERE is a fat, naked, eczema encrusted, amputee necrophiliac for your dash.
Happy Saturday! I am taking Children’s Book Illustration again and I am so glad. It’s such a fun class. For this assignment we got to do a page from an alphabet book; We chose a letter and came up with a sentence that used said letter a minimum of four times, then illustrated it!
Done with Prismacolor markers and colored pencils on Canson XL mixed media paper. I wish I had more time to invest in my projects…I had to rush this a bit so it isn’t as clean as it could be. :( I will try to get it up on Society6 as prints and stuff here soon!
Recent anon from my class, feel free to message me off of anonymous! I am plenty open to talking about it. It’s just not really something I want to plaster all over my art blog.
The final and filthiest commission for Samael! It is his snake character Tia. He commissioned me for the final image in a rather unfortunate series he started, in which this gluttonous snake gets bigger and bigger; Surviving on various feeding tubes and machinery, even as her weight threatens to crush her head, and the rest of her body bursts, and breaks down. An end to it only appears as she chokes on her own vomit.
THANK YOU SAM! And double thank you for being so patient with me. This was a bunch of fun to work on.
I sure do! But ahaha that is awesome! I love when people get to see my art in real life. I can never get decent scans. Thank you! <3
Another ‘whatever-you-want’ assignment from my thesis class! And now we have started the Ely- I AM BOTH SCARED AND EXCITED.
But yes! Here is a little homage to the silly state I was born and raised in. I will always enjoy making fun of it.
This is available as prints, tote bags, and pillows on my society6! FREE SHIPPING THROUGH OCTOBER 13TH on select items through this link: http://society6.com/facerot?promo=367676
I added a small border to the pillow as I was afraid some of it would get cut off. I have some other school pieces available as prints as well! I will try to get some other products added when I have the time.
Done with Prismacolor markers and Pencils!
Another fun commission for the wonderful Samael! I’m sorry I have been such a HUGE SLOW POKE posting these. :[ This time it is his skunk character Lotus oozing, bloating, and breaking down into something terrible.
Good morning! Here is another assignment for my portfolio class! We were given a few different illustration topics to choose from, or we could come up with our own. I went with my go-to market of music and made an album cover for one of my favorite bands, Pg.99.
Painted in Photoshop! I would have loved to have done this in acrylic, but with 5 of my 6 classes being studios time is just not on my side. :(
Another commission for Samael! This time it is his character Sam, sweating in the heat and trying to cool down via devouring ice cream…with rather undesired results.
It was so fun working with these colors. <3 Thanks again Sam!
Cattle are the way to my heart.
Hello! I will be doing four pieces for the “William H. Ely Senior Illustration Thesis Exhibition” or in short, “The Ely”. It is basically a HUGE target marketing assignment/contest/gallery show that the all the illustration seniors take part in.
You pick a target illustration market, come up with a project for it and do four complete pieces. They will all be put on display as a group show in one of the buildings of my school, and will be judged. I have a few ideas bopping around but nothing concrete yet.
SOMEDAY I shall acquire a scanner that doesn’t chew up and spit out my traditional art into a discolored pile of its former self. But until then I will do what I can to save it in Photoshop. The greens/yellows of the eyes and teeth are a lot more vibrant in real life. :(
But yes! Hello! Here is another assignment from school, it’s for my thesis class. Before we actually start working on our thesis (terrifying) we are doing a couple “whatever you want” assignments, so here are some rams. I wanted to draw some ungulates being COOL.
Done with Prismacolor markers and colored pencils! It’s about 11x14, which was an intimidating size to tackle with markers.
